Description

This CLE will focus on the various rules and regulation imposed on sports agents practicing in Texas.  The Texas Athlete Agent Act (TAAA) provides state-specific requirements that must be satisfied to pursue Texas student-athletes.  Texas universities have their own rules and regulations for agents to follow to recruit student-athletes.  The NCAA provides additional restrictions that apply to student-athletes throughout the country.  This CLE will feature panelists from the Texas Secretary of State’s office (the body that the enforces the TAAA) and from the University of Texas at Austin (providing school-side insight into agent regulation).
